  • Fuck Plan B

On September 26th, there was a concert in Malmö, where many of our friends and comrades attended.

The concert was at a self-proclaimed “underground” venue called Plan B.

At the end of the concert, a violent escalation between the visitors and the club’s security guards took place.

It got to the point where one person was unconscious and bleeding from their head until the cops arrived and took them to the hospital.

They were hospitalized for several days and needed stitches in multiple places on their face and head. They are now in police custody.

If a club works with professional security guards, their job should be to protect all visitors and de-escalate situations, not provoke people and use this level of violence.

While the brutal attack on people at the concert was still taking place, the club called the cops. More than 9 people were arrested, and many were seriously hurt and traumatized.

To this day, 4 people are still detained in Sweden and will have their court hearing on 13.10.

Some people who were released are not allowed to leave Sweden until the court date.

To this day, there has been no transparent information from the cops about what is going on with our friends and comrades who are detained or even hospitalized. We have been left without any information.

The videos and personal stories of people who witnessed this brutal violence have shocked us and everyone involved in DIY culture.

In their statement, Plan B takes no accountability for the behaviour of their staff or for what happened after the cops arrived and arrested multiple people from the concert.

People from all over Europe came to see a show. They shouldn’t leave covered in blood and bruises or get arrested because of violence from security guards — especially in a place that calls itself underground or punk.

When our comrades who were there described the unacceptable violence that took place at Plan B, we decided to call for a boycott of the place.

We demand accountability from Plan B for what happened!

We demand that Plan B covers the legal costs of the people who were or still are arrested!

And we call on all people and all bands to boycott Plan B until they take responsibility for their staff and how they treat their visitors.

As Køpi, we have decided that bands who support Plan B by still performing there will not play in our project!

We will share this call with other projects in Berlin and invite them to take part.

We support DIY culture and fair treatment of all people.

We are punks. We are anarchists. We are queers. And more than anything, we are united. And we should take care of each other — in the streets, during concerts, or in a club in Malmö!

The influence of Western powers on various aspects of life in the Philippines is undeniable, and the way this has impacted music, lifestyle, and the overall sense of community is profound. Yet, there’s an opportunity to reshape how we embrace this reality.

The so-called Philippines are heavily bombarded by Western rhetoric and ideas that are forced onto us through our educational systems, the Constitution, Religion/Spiritual belief, the western kind of development, the style of government
